Locality - Eating out

If you like to eat and drink, it’s a five minute walk to the village of Furzehill and The Stocks Inn, the nearest of many local thatched restaurant pubs, so there’s no need to drive.

Wimborne has its fair share of excellent restaurants, the Blue Fig, Primizia, and the Olive Branch among them (a taxi home is not very costly). If you fancy pizza or pasta, the local Prezzo is available in a really attractive Georgian building.

A little further afield (but not much), restaurant pubs such as the Anchor at Shapwick, The Bull Inn at Wimborne St Giles, the Drovers Inn at Gussage All Saints, the Langton Arms at Tarrant Monkton, and the Museum at Farnham, offer a range of dining experiences from the hearty to the sophisticated, depending on your mood and appetite. But there are many more.

It’s part of the pleasure of driving in Dorset that the almost every place you pass through features a country pub with a well-stocked bar and good eating!
